Roma Riona | Street Food Tour in Testaccio neighborhood

The most Roman amid the Roman neighborhoods, Testaccio is perhaps the only places within few kilometers from the Colosseum that keeps the tourists out and preserve some of the city authenticity. Born as a worker district at the beginning of XX century for the employees at the newly constructed city slaughterhouse – today almost completely renovated and house of the Arts and Design Academy, it’s still a truly Roman place. Its tuff-made buildings perfectly match with the blue sky. During the tour, we will visit the Testaccio Square, the Market, and the former Slaughterhouse. Sandro will mark the end, the perfect place to celebrate the farewell. Or perhaps, an ice-cream will suit us better…
The tasting includes the supplì (or Roman Pizza) at the market, mix of cold cuts and cheese at Sandro Bistrot, and, to end, an ice-cream at the immortal Giolitti’s.
