Free Walking Tour Bratislava

Discover the most iconic and lively places in the centre of Bratislava on a walking tour through the history, culture and curiosities of the Slovak capital.

We will start in Hviezdoslav Square, where we will admire the Slovak National Theatre and learn about the history and culture of the city. We will then meet Čumil, the famous statue emerging from a manhole in the heart of the historic centre, followed by Schöner Náci, one of the most curious characters associated with Bratislava’s history.

We will walk along the old Royal Coronation Route and explore Main Square, surrounded by elegant historic buildings. Along the way, we will discover Slovak traditions and learn more about local culture, including traditional food and drinks.

The route continues to Michael’s Gate, one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, and the Primate’s Palace, before reaching Hurbanovo Square, SNP Square, the historic Stará tržnica and Kamenné Square, offering a glimpse into both the history and contemporary life of Bratislava.

We will finish the tour at the Blue Church of St. Elizabeth, one of the city’s most distinctive and recognisable buildings.
