Ravenna
Ravenna was once the capital of the World. For a brief period of time, Byzantine moved here their throne. Most of its beautiful churches and mosaics were commissioned at that time. With the UNESCO Mosaic tickets you can visit most of them. Ravenna is not only famous for its Mosaics though. Take a walk in the ex-industrial district of Darsena, to see what was once the city harbor. It’s a open air Museum of former industrial facilities, now abandoned, renovated areas and street art.
