Neapolis Archaeological Park Shared Group Tour


Join a group guided tour of the Neapolis Archaeological Park in Syracuse and discover the history, monuments and fascinating details of one of the most important cities of ancient Greek and Roman civilization.
The meeting point with the guide and the group is at the entrance of the archaeological park. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and is conducted in Italian.
The itinerary begins at the Greek Theatre, carved into the Temenite Hill, the largest in Italy and one of the biggest in the Mediterranean. From the top, visitors can admire a stunning view of the Great Harbour of Syracuse and the Nymphaeum Fountain.
The visit continues to the Latomia del Paradiso, an ancient stone quarry later used as a prison, home to the famous Ear of Dionysius, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and legendary stories.
The tour proceeds through the Cave of the Cordari, then reaches the Altar of Hieron II, the largest stone altar ever built in the Greek world. The experience ends at the Roman Amphitheatre, where the guide explains the structure and the gladiatorial games once held there.
